Parents are not allowed to meet any teacher without the prior permission of the principal during school hours. They are also not allowed to visit the class room of their ward. They must come to school along with their ward on 2nd Saturday of every month to discuss the progress of their ward in previous month and planning for the next month, how over their valuable suggestions are welcome in a harmonious environment for the development of the students and school.
A student association under the guidance of a teacher is made for maintaining discipline in school.
VidyaMandir develops the sense of responsibility and hospitality among the girl students through different activities namely interior decoration, cooking, self defense and household affairs under the able guidance of Smt. SimlaVerma. Girl Education Council (BalikashikshaParishad) is gaining heights under her supervision.
Annual function is organized by the school every year in which the students perform various culture activities and meritorious student are awarded for their achievements in different fields such as-academic, sports and other activities.
The achievements of the year are highlighted in the annual report by the principal.

There is special stress and attention on games and physical education programmes. It is compulsion on students to take part in different games. Special training in Yoga, Aasan, Pranayam, in the morning and special training in Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volley-ball, Badminton, and Karate in evening is given to students according to their physical strength and interest. Different types of tools and skilled trainers are provided.
To enhance the teaching – learning process the smart class, film projector, slide projector, television / radio and loud speaker / cassette player is available. For the same purpose multi-media computer is established.
Student association is established and elected to provide the general knowledge about the democratic process.
Quiz competitions, General knowledge test, Cultural knowledge test, Speech competitions, Art and Craft test, Singing and Dancing competitions, Drama competitions, and Biography of famous personalities, etc are a part the the curriculum.
* Himachal ShikshaSamiti gives Rs 1000/- under the BrilliantScholarship Scheme to the intelligent students.
* Central Board of Secondary Education gives Rs 1000/- per month till graduation to the students who score more than 80% marks in 10+2 examination.
